Dr. Paolo Vinciguerra, M.d. began his career as an ophthalmologist in 1982, working mainly in the fields of transplants, retinas and cataracts.  His profound interest in developments in ophthalmology research lead him to study refractive surgery and glaucoma.
Renowned worldwide for his keen scientific interest and for his ability to undertake ever new and cutting-edge research, he is today one of the worlds most prominent surgeons.

Part of this website is dedicated to Dr. Paolo Vinciguerra, M.d.’s scientific and clinical work, featuring his training and his clinical and scientific experience since he began his career.  It includes a general information section describing the ophthalmology practice where Dr. Vinciguerra performs all his examinations and diagnoses, this specifies the methods and instruments used plus the address, telephone numbers for contacting the secretarial staff and a street plan showing how to reach the practice.

The website also features a section with a direct link to the Istituto Clinico Humanitas, the healthcare facility where Dr. Vinciguerra has been in charge of the ophthalmology service since 1999, as well as links to various websites of scientific interest in the world of Italian ophthalmology (Società Oftalmologia Italiana).

There is also a link to the “Refractive on line” website, reserved for ophthalmologists.  In fact, since 2000, Dr. Paolo Vinciguerra, M.d. has organised an annual international conference: papers submitted by Italian and international speakers at the various sessions are available on the website and consultation of these papers is a valid aid for all ophthalmologists wishing to update their scientific knowledge.
